Chicken Salad Chick Growing In Kentucky With Middletown Opening
Chicken Salad Chick announced it will be expanding in Kentucky with its newest location opening in Middletown. The new restaurant, which will feature a drive-thru, opens on Wednesday, December 8 and will be located at 12009 Shelbyville Road. This location marks the sixth Chicken Salad Chick restaurant to open in Kentucky, bringing the brand to more than 200 restaurants nationwide.
During grand opening week, guests will enjoy the Southern hospitality that Chicken Salad Chick is well known for by experiencing the following giveaways and specials at the new restaurant:

BATTLE OF THE BISCUITS
Lexington asked for biscuits, and lo, there were biscuits. Our Biscuit Battle just got interesting. In 2020, Tudors Biscuit World opened in our neighborhood, promptly creating lines that stretched out to New Circle Road. Biscuit World is a family-owned, fast-food chain specializing in scratch made biscuits and breakfast foods.
A restaurant chain based in Huntington, W.V., Tudors Biscuit World found its way to Lexington by way of family. Sam Creviston opened the new location with his wife, Kristin Tudor Creviston, and her brother, Patrick Tudor. Thats the thing about our biscuits, says Creviston. Where you might want to eat one and a half to two at most places, one here is going to fill you up.
On a cold wintry February day, Biscuit Belly recently joined the fray, opening in the former A and W location on Main Street .
The Louisville-based franchise was immediately so popular with Lexingtons biscuit-starved mob, they had to temporarily close when they ran out of product.

The Rams got their start in franchising with Pizza Patron, owning 10 locations across Texas. They opened their first Chicken Salad Chick in Katy in 2019, following with a second in 2020. During the coronavirus pandemic, the Rams donated more than 400 meals to first responders and health care workers at local hospitals. Chicken Salad Chick is expanding Sept. 1 in Kentucky with a restaurant in Owensboro under the direction of first-time Chicken Salad Chick franchise owners Danny, Sara and Matthew Duggar and Hannah Witherspoon of Ems Chick LLC. Danny and Sara Duggar, who have more than 30 years of small business experience, and their children Matthew and Hannah an optometrist and dental hygienist respectively, first experienced Chicken Salad Chick while on vacation in Destin, Florida.
The family will eventually open two additional locations in Evansville, Indiana and Bowling Green, Kentucky over the next couple of years.
“Gathering around the dinner table or sharing a booth at a restaurant has always been a special experience for my family, as it gives us the chance to break away from life’s everyday stresses and enjoy each other’s company,” Sara Duggar said in the release. “Chicken Salad Chick’s family oriented atmosphere is a perfect backdrop for these types of memorable dining experiences and the fresh chicken salads are sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
Following CSC’s first-to-market opening in Lexington in 2018, the Owensboro location marks the state’s second unit, with an additional Kentucky restaurant slated to open in Crestview Hills early next year.

Michelle, was a longtime fan of Chicken Salad Chick before hearing about opportunities to franchise with us. She gave her friend, Julie, a call and asked her to consider looking at the concept. While both friends had started careers in sales and marketing before becoming stay-at-home parents, Julie had no restaurant experience and was a little hesitant at first. However, after trying the delicious chicken, she was eager to get back into the business world with Michelle. They set up a meeting with our founders, Kevin and Stacy Brown.
During their meeting, both Michelle and Julie realized their values lined up with those of the Browns. They loved the idea of creating great career opportunities for people and sharing the Chicks delicious, healthy food with other communities. The two friends love being a part of the Chick family and currently own eleven locations.
